Eighth event this year, third time at Curborough. At first sight a simple course, and at a moderate speed it is, but as the pace increases so does the level of precision needed. Can you get it right at every corner? No, not if you 're me, you can't. First practice, damp, 43.75 seconds. Second practice saw me improve, as the course dried, 34.99 recorded. Third practice 33.06, 98 mph over the line. First timed run resulted in a 32.97 second time, 97 mph over the finish, a good run, very pleased with the time. Second run, 33.24, 97 mph. Final run of the day, yielded 33.41, 95 mph over the finish. A great day, sunny and warm autumnal day, damp first practice then drying through the day. First in class out of four 600 class cars ..And 10 points towards Richard Egger Insurance HSA Hillclimb and Sprint Championship. The last event in the Richard Egger Insurance HSA Hillclimb and Sprint Championship. I've scored 73 points at Eight events during the year, which leaves me in joint third place a tie with Tony Jarvis, just behind Steve Filkin, on 74 points in second place and John Palmer, on 76 points the winner of the championship for 2008.
